The first phase of a 50 million-dollar development, known as The Park, was announced in 1994. To date, more than 50 businesses and services have located in the new shopping center.
Over 130,000 square feet of commercial space in 20 buildings have been completed with more under construction. Included in this first group are complete medical facilities. |

Also included in the first phase is a 27,000 square foot grocery store, Island Sun Fest Market. The store features over 1,000 linear feet of shelving, a deli and bakery area and allowances are being made for other services and departments. Parking for 135 cars is provided for the Island Sun Fest Market.
As many as 40 other businesses are in the center including Island True Value Hardware, Fred's Variety Store, a pharmacy, Post Office and numerous shops and businesses. |
The Bluffs located in The Park has large flat lots with terrific views and southern exposures. With curbed asphalt streets, sidewalks, street lights, underground utilities and a privacy fence with one entrance and one exit, The Bluffs is an exclusive area.
A $4.5 million dollar Peachtree Village Retirement Community is built on 5 1/2 acres next to The Bluffs. Peachtree Village is an independent rental retirement community which has 50 apartments in the main building and some duplexes. |
